Action drama series. The dynamic duo try to rescue a damsel from the clutches of King Tut.
David Attenborough reveals the surprising truth about the cold-blooded lives of reptiles and amphibians. These animals are as dramatic in combat, as colourful in their communication and as tender in their parental care as any other animals. Join giant courting crocodiles, jousting tortoises and bright red sumo-wrestling frogs in their sophisticated, solar-powered lives.
Documentary series looking at the brutal, bloody and dangerous history of surgery begins with the area of the body where it has been most frightening - the brain.
Just over 100 years ago, cutting into the brain was a terrifying prospect for both patient and surgeon. They could expect the result to be the surgeon bloodied and defeated, and the patient dead. From freak accidents involving crowbars through the skull to notorious lobotomies with icepicks, this programme reveals how, through mishap and misadventure, brain surgery has become the life-saving discipline it is today.
Filmed over five years, with stories from 17 countries across four continents, a documentary investigating personal and universal aspects of the lives of women today.
In 2002, Jennifer was 42, living the life she thought she had always wanted: based in New York, working as a filmmaker, surrounded by friends, with a married South African lover and a Swiss cinematographer boyfriend. But when her best friend was diagnosed with a brain tumour, she was forced to reassess her decision to stay single, shunning marriage, commitment and children. She decides to take her confusion and her camera out on the road to talk to women about their lives.
